Faymonville Group Selects Little Rock, Arkansas for U.S. Production Facility

After a nationwide search, the Faymonville Group has chosen Little Rock, Arkansas as the location for its first U.S. manufacturing facility.

The 54-acre site, located at the Port of Little Rock, offers strategic access to major interstates, Class I railroads, navigable waterways, and a national airport. Phase 1 of the project includes a 409,000-square-foot production space, with Phase 2 expanding to 624,000 square feet.

Once fully operational, the facility is expected to create 500 direct jobs. With an investment of over $100 million, the project is also projected to generate 389 additional indirect and induced jobs in Little Rock and the surrounding communities, contributing to a total economic impact of $239 million.

A Legacy of Innovation and Quality

The Faymonville Group is a 7th-generation family-owned business with a global footprint. Known internally as the "Faymily," the group employs 1,400 people across four advanced production sites in Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, and Italy. The company manufactures approximately 3,000 vehicles per year, exporting to 125 countries and generating $500 million in revenue in 2023.

As the global leader in full-range heavy haul and special transport solutions, the Faymonville Group brings together three iconic brands—MAX Trailer, Faymonville, and Cometto. From semi-trailers and low-loaders to modular and self-propelled systems, their product range handles payloads from 16.5 U.S. tons to 27,500 U.S. tons and beyond. With over 1.88 million square feet of high-tech production space, the company continues to invest heavily in state-of-the-art machinery and process optimization—over $126 million between 2017 and 2023 alone.

“Made in America” – Starting 2026

“We don't just deliver vehicles—we deliver complete transport solutions,” said Alexander Fickers, CEO of the Faymonville Group. “We proudly delivered our first unit to the U.S. in 2016. What we appreciate most about the American market is its massive potential, its pragmatic, solution-oriented approach, and the streamlined regulatory environment compared to Europe.”

A dedicated R&D team has been developed products tailored to U.S. market needs. In the first phase, component manufacturing will begin in Little Rock, followed by ramping up full in-house production. Additionally, parts and service support for Cometto-branded vehicles will be significantly expanded.

“By early 2026, production will be up and running, and vehicles will proudly carry the ‘Made in America’ label,” said Yves and Alain Faymonville. “This marks a major milestone in our long-term commitment to the U.S. market.”

Creating Opportunity in Central Arkansas

Faymonville was first introduced to Arkansas through its collaboration with Hale Trailer, the largest independent trailer dealership in North America, which has a branch in North Little Rock. In June 2024, company leadership visited Little Rock with support from the Little Rock Regional Chamber and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission to evaluate potential sites and meet local stakeholders.

These efforts culminated in high-level meetings with Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Secretary of Commerce Hugh McDonald, and Chamber President and CEO Jay Chesshir during the Farnborough International Airshow in July. A follow-up visit in August confirmed the site selection, finalized in September.

“Our new location opens up exciting career paths for skilled professionals in steel fabrication, surface treatment, final assembly, and a range of office roles,” said Lisa Faymonville, HR Manager for the Faymonville Group. “We’re building a culture rooted in practical thinking and clear communication—exactly what we value most.”
